Robert Pace Obituary

Robert Donald Pace, Jr. "BoBo" "Bob" March 2, 1954 - January 21, 2011 Visitation for Robert Donald Pace, Jr. "Bob" "Bobo" will be held at Basham Funeral Care (3312 Niles Street) on Saturday, January 29, 2011 from 3:00-7:00 p.m. Memorial services will be held at Height Street Baptist Church (1010 Height Street) on Sunday, January 30, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. Potluck will follow the service. All friends and family are welcome to attend. In lieu of flowers, the family requests all contributions to be given to the Height Street Baptist Church Youth Department. Graveside service will be held at The Bakersfield National Cemetery on Monday, January 31, 2011 at 12:30 p.m. Bob was the oldest of four boys born to the late Robert, Sr. and Jeanette Pace, in Corona, CA on March 2, 1954. He attended school in Buena Park. He was a resident of Hanford. After a courageous battle with numerous illnesses, he passed away peacefully at California Pacific Medical Center in San Francisco. Bob held three substance abuse credentials and was a Registered Addiction Specialist and Program Director for WestCare at Pleasant Valley State Prison. Bob was the beloved husband of Sharon Pace. Bob will forever be remembered by his best friend and loving wife Sharon; his devoted brothers, John, Brian and the late Danny Pace; beloved step-children, Amy, Christine and Bill; treasured step-grandchildren, Melissa, Billy and the late Sara Brisebois; niece, Joyce; nephews, John, Steve and Danny; aunt, Jackie Oakes; caring in-laws, Lucy Pace and Robert and Geri Brisebois, along with countless other friends and family who were blessed to know him. Bob loved listening to the 50-60's pop music, playing with his babies (3 dogs), laughing, being with his family, having fun with friends, riding his motorcycle, camping in his trailer and helping people caught in the throes of their addiction. With over 15 years of being clean and sober, he is one of the finest examples of how someone can change the course of their life if they accept help. Bob touched the lives of many people with his smile and compassion, and maintained his trademark sense of humor all the way to the end. My heart and my prayers go out to Bob's wife and all those who loved him. I just want to say what a great influence Bob was in my life. He helped me through some of my toughest battles and always gave it to me straight. He will always be remembered and loved by those of us in Hanford Ca, who came to know him and love him....Miss you Bob....I know you are with the Father and that brings me great comfort and joy...Untill we meet again my friend..
