Robin Wyatt-Little Obituary

ROBIN CLARE WYATT-LITTLE

June 1, 1940 – November 30, 2024

Robin Clare Wyatt-Little was born in Buffalo, New York on June 1, 1940, and passed away in Bakersfield in the arms of her daughter Susan on November 30, 2024. Robin was the youngest of five children in the home of Ed and Nelle Wyatt, who were both artists. Robin had an idyllic childhood in beautiful East Aurora, New York with lots of friends, a family cottage and pond, and girl scout camping adventures. Robin married David Miller twice and finally came to California as a single mom with daughter Susan to join her sister Sues family.

Professionally, Robin was a medical secretary and office manager including the Health Office at CSUB. Organized and efficient with a great sense of humor, co-workers and patients all became her friends. The center of her world was her daughter Susan, and she worked two jobs to make sure they had a nice life. She was an exceptional mother.

Robin met her soul mate Ted Little at the Unitarian Fellowship and moved to the Kern River Valley. For 40 years, Ted and Robin worked together in a cabinet business, in construction, and she helped Ted in his job teaching philosophy at Cerro Coso College. She was a caring mother to Ted's four children. They loved their mountain home.

Robin was recognized as the Kern Valley Woman of the Year for her work with the Fire Safe Council, for starting a reading program at Camp Owens, and for fighting in Washington for the designation of the Kern as a Wild and Scenic River. Robin and Ted enjoyed traveling, including trips to England and Hawaii. Ted's passion was racing pigeons and Robin always went to out-of-town races and provided goodies for pigeon club meetings.

After Ted passed in 2021, Robin sold their beloved Split Mountain Ranch and moved into a cottage at the home of her daughter Susan and son-in-law Mike. For two years she was able to be a beloved mom, grandmother and great-grandmother.

Robin was pre-deceased by parents Ed and Nelle Wyatt, brothers Michael, George and David, and sister Sue. She missed her husband Ted every day after his passing. She was predeceased by stepsons Ted Jr. and Paul.

Robin is survived by daughter Susan McCoy (Mike), daughter Cindy Trapper (Michael), daughter Kris Preston and son Jon Little. She also leaves grandsons William and Wyatt Pishinsky (Jennifer), Sean, Ian, and Ryan Trapper, Davis and Ben Little, granddaughters Maren and Mel Preston, great-grandsons August and Wilder and best friend Gary Geivet. Robin's family would like to thank the cancer staff at Kaiser, especially Dr. Kyaw Tun, Hoffmann Hospice and the AIS Cancer Center.

In memory of Robin, please plant a tree and feed the birds. Services will be private.

Sweet Robin definitely made her mark here on earth. She was so beautiful, funny, always gave great advise and had the coolest New Yorker accent.
I have a tun of memories of Robin because I've known her since I was 12 years old.
She was blessed to have enjoyed so much love throughout her life. I will cherish my memories of her always, and continue to fill my bird feeder in her honor. RIP Robin
