Ruby Baldwin Obituary

Ruby L. Baldwin, known as Mamacita to her grandchildren, great grandchildren, and yes, great-great grandchildren, left us one year ago.
Life was not always easy for her or for her generation, but she always stayed the course and helped others along the way. She bore witness to an ever changing world: World War I, the Great Depression, World War II, global air travel, the Cold War, the Moon Landing and the Counter Culture, just to name a few. She was a passionate woman and would unequivocally express her concern for our well-being. Ruby worked through her 81st year and lived independently another 20 healthy years with only the last six months assisted. This is an amazing feat and an indication of her stoic and strong nature.
We, Ruby/Mamacita's family, thank her for all she gave to us while she was here. She gave us her love of reading, music, the arts (especially theater), gourmet cooking, and her unbelievable work ethic. She taught us how to laugh, how to tell a story, and, most importantly, she showed us resilience in times of terrible personal turmoil which guides us to know that we can persevere through life's challenges.
We love and miss her and wish her peace and rest. Her memory still lives greatly with us.
Her family, Daughter, Priscella Moore; Her Grandchildren: John Moore (Kristin), Leslie Barth (David), David (Rita), Elizabeth Ming (Garrett), Andrew Moore (Kristen); Great-Grandchildren, Julia Green (Greg), John Moore, Emily Moore, Michael Barth (Courtney), Nick Barth, Chris Barth, Annalise Moore, David Moore, Alex Moore, G Russell Ming, Madeline Ming, Benjamin Moore; Great-Great Grandchildren Jackson and Brody Barth.
"Live the full life of the mind, exhilarated by new ideas, intoxicated by the Romance of the unusual." ~Ernest Hemingway
