Ryan Dill Obituary

RYAN OWEN DILL

November 25, 1993 – October 7, 2025

Ryan Owen Dill, 31, of Bakersfield, California, went home to be with the Lord on October 7, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.

Ryan was born on November 25, 1993, in Bakersfield, California, to Ronald and Tonja Dill. He was a man of few words, but he impacted the lives of many just by being himself, bringing joy and laughter to everyone who knew him.

Ryan loved spending time with his family and friends, enjoying good food, and listening to country music. Some of his favorite things were playing with his dogs, spending time in the mountains, and going on Friday-night Dewar's ice cream trips with his mom and dad. He also had a special love for watching sports, shooting hoops on his basketball court, watching fireworks with his nephews on the Fourth of July, and eating Del Taco. He found joy in worshiping God in his own way while listening to worship music that brought tears to his eyes.

He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Gary Dill and Jimmy Vietti. He is survived by his parents, Ronald and Tonja Dill; his sister and brother-in-law, Alicia and Terry Tripp; his nephews, Theodore and Titus Tripp; his grandmothers, Janice Dill and Arlene Vietti; his uncles and aunts, Thomas and Brenda Dill, Randy and Paula Vietti; and numerous great uncles, aunts, and cousins.

Ryan will be dearly missed by all those who had the privilege of knowing him. He will be remembered for his warm smile, tender heart, and the way he made every moment brighter just by being there. His family finds comfort in knowing that they will see him again someday.

A celebration of Ryan's life will be held at Valley Baptist Church - Olive Drive Campus, 5500 Olive Drive, Bakersfield, CA 93308, on Monday, November 10, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. A reception will follow.

Yesterday

To the Dill Family. I don't know you or your Son Ryan but I want to give you my condolences for your loss. I share your grievance with the loss for I also lost my daughter. She was down syndrome but I looked beyond that, as all should. I am so grateful that God chose me to be her momma for her entire 48 years of life. God knows what he is doing when he places these special babies in the arms of chosen parents. Just know you both were God chosen special parents. My daughter taught me so much about life and what it meant to love one another. Her life was all about being friendly, loving, understanding, patient and most of all Godly. Here I am telling you something ya'll already know. But for one sure thing we share is, I know God loaned her to me for a short time and I will get to see her again. Just hold on to knowing how special of parents you are and my prayers are with you for the upcoming days of missing your Son. I still miss my daughter too.
