Skyler Lee Meighan was born on February 10, 1951 in San Bernardino. Preceded in death mother Laverne Meighan and his father Gordon Meighan . He leaves behind his wife, Marian Meighan, daughter, Melissa Helmkamp, and Jennifer Correa and Lyla, grandson Isaiah, son, Jeremy Meighan and Lindsay Blake Addison & Kate, grandson Wade, daughter, Jennifer, Meighan, and grandson Parker. Daughter, Laura Wylie, and husband, Ryan Wylie, granddaughters Maddy, Finley, and Charlotte, Daughter, Rachel, Solomon and granddaughter Jade, sister, Kimberly Lange and husband Terry.
Sky served his country well in the US Navy as a first class, deep sea diver, he was a Bakersfield fireman for 10 years, in real estate for 18 years before starting his own company Sky Writer Promotions. He retired in 2014. His passion was helping people with recovery from addictions. He passed away on September 16, 2024. Sky will be missed.
Services will be held Friday, October 25, 2024, 10:30 am at BFC, 2801 Hughes Ln., Bakersfield. Sky will be laid to rest at 2 pm at the Bakersfield National Cemetery.
