Dear Jan, Wendy and Marye Alice: Mom and dad, still living in Bakersfield, sent me the well-written and informative article about Vern. There were several bits of his past I didn't know about: WWII pilot (as was my dad) and having worked at Lockheed Martin. You must be proud of all his business accomplishments as well as being a wonderful dad, grandfather and husband. I know first-hand how he related with your friends; always made me feel welcome in your home. Had a service been held in Bakersfield my parents would have attended. Dad was very fond of Vern and felt it would be proper to pay his appropriate respects. At this time the distance to Sand Point is too far for them to venture out. They both said to please give you their condolences. When time allows it would be nice to hear from you. My address is as follows: Craig and Sue Noble, 4768 Karnes Road, Santa Maria, CA. 93455. Home phone is 805-938-7465 and cell is 805-451-2774. Please know that my family has many fond memories of your family and we, through our own experiences, know what grief process is ahead of you. If I can bring comfort in any way, just ask. Love, Craig & Susie and Doug & Marge Gall.
