Jesse Dorsch- Hey Grandpa, seems like we look alot alike. I met you as a
youngen but wish I could have known more about you earlier in life. I feel like being good at football was due to being good at boxing which I should have done too. Thank you for passing on such capabilities to battle on the field and in life. I'm sure you were a real strong dude too! Mom tell's me all about the Jersey family now that we spend so much time together and I feel that I will carry that strength with me forever. Again, I wish I could have spent more time with you or got to hang with the Devino boys or even Merle. I'll keep taking good care of mom and see you when I get there. Wish me luck. Love Jesse

Dear Uncle Sonny,
While I know you're in a better place in Heaven with all of your sisters embracing you, I'm stil so sad that you're not with "us" anymore. So many miles separated you and your "Jersey" family. Mom always kept you up to date to the new happenings in our family and I feel so blessed to have had that final talk with you. I will cherish your words forever. I will always continue to listen to your music and remember how for years you serenaded all of us around my parents kitchen table until you moved to California with "ol guitar" "Blue Eyes Cryin In The Rain" (Mom's favorite song) So many happy memories. Your wonderful sense of humor that made us double over with laughter. I'll remember it all. I will think of you everyday just like I do with Grandma Faye, Aunt Pat, Uncle Archie and the rest of our family who's passed on. I love you so much and I'm so happy I had the chance to tell you that before you left us. I LOVE YOU UNCLE SONNY!!

Daddy, I am so glad that we got to spend your final years together, my only regret is that I wish I could have seen you more. You have been through so much in the past few years, but you were brave and survived it all, I am very grateful that you found Mildred and that you were able to become best friends with your idol Merle. I will miss you soooo much.

Dearest Uncle Sonny, I asked you recently if you knew how much I loved you. You told me that you did. That gives me some comfort. I will miss our evening talks. I'll miss hearing your voice on the phone. Although so many miles have seperated us I always felt that you were so close. I know that you are still close in spirit. Your sisters in heaven have welcomed their only brother with opened arms. I know that you are in the *perfect* place and you are all rejoicing. We will all be together again someday. I love you and miss you so very much. Diana (Rhine)

To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.
Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome you."
It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on.
I need you here badly; you're part of my plan.
There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man.
God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight.
God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night.
When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years
because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.
I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.
There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.
If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.
So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.
And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,
remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me.
