On February 4, 2016, Alice Hoffberger (nee Berney); beloved wife of the late Jerold Charles Hoffberger; loving mother of David (Jan) Hoffberger, Richard (Judy) Hoffberger, Peter (Lisa) Hoffberger and Carol McCarthy; devoted sister of the late Robert Berney, Ellen Hirschland and Margaret Mack; beloved daughter of the late Dorothy and Sydney Berney; loving grandmother of Courtney (Stephen) Riordon, Rachel Hoffberger, Samuel (Marina) Hoffberger, Jamie Hoffberger, Jonathan, Judson and Katie McCarthy, Chase, Tyler and Trevor Hoffberger; adored great-grandmother of Simon Hoffberger. Services at SOL LEVINSON & BROS., INC., 8900 Reisterstown Road, at Mount Wilson Lane on Sunday, February 7, at 1 pm. Interment Baltimore Hebrew Cemetery - Berrymans Lane. Please omit flowers. Contributions in her memory may be sent to National Kidney Foundation, 30 East 33rd St, New York, NY 10016 or Alzheimer's Association, 1850 York Road, Suite D, Timonium, MD 21093 or Baltimore Museum of Art, 10 Art Museum Drive, Baltimore, MD 21218. In mourning at 3501 Anton Farms Road, Pikesville, MD 21208, on Sunday, with a service at 6pm. On Monday the family will be receiving from 6-8:30pm at Baltimore Hebrew Congregation (Hoffberger Chapel), 7401 Park Heights Avenue, Baltimore, MD 21208, with a shiva service at 7pm. On Tuesday the family will be receiving from 6:30-9pm at 769 Holly Drive North, Annapolis, MD 21409, with a shiva service at 7pm.
