A memorial service will be held at the family owned Ruck Towson Funeral Home, Inc. 1050 York Road (Beltway Exit 26A) Sunday, October 3, at 11 AM. Interment private. Family suggests contributions be made in his name to Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, Maryland Chapter 11350 McCormick Road Executive Plaza III, Suite 100. Hunt Valley, MD 21031.

Carol,
I was so sorry to hear your news of Allen's passing. I feel so honored to have met him,however brief our encounters were. The few times I talked with him (and the two of you together) was enough to know what a truly a wonderful man he was and will always be in memory.

We read about Dr. Silver's death in the paper. We are so sorry. He was not only a good opthamologist, but compassionate and was really interested in his patients -- both medically and personally. We will truly miss him and we can only imagine the loss to you.
