Andrew Barasda Obituary
Mr. Barasda is the son of the late Andrew and Vivian (nee Meyers) Barasda. He is survived by his beloved sister Sharon Rosenberger; nieces and nephews Kimberly Wrisk-Paice, Manuel Tan, Derek Tan, Holley Rosenberger, Branden Rosenberger and Lauren Kelly; and his life partner Donald S. Chismar.
A Memorial Eucharist will be held on Wednesday, December 4 at 11:30AM in Memorial Episcopal Church, Bolton Hill, Baltimore, MD. His cremated remains will be interred in the Columbarium of Memorial Church. In lieu of flowers, please send donations in his memory to The House of Ruth in MD, 2201 Argonne Drive, Baltimore, MD 21217 which is a facility to assist and shelter women and children suffering from abuse.

This was my cousin Andy. I am the daughter of Elmer and June Barazda born August 14, 1956. I remember Andrew as a solemn cousin who visited our home on Riverview Avenue with my Aunt Vivian, Uncle Andy, and my fab cousin, Sharon Barasda.

Andy was the Director of the New Bedford ARC when I worked there. We became fast friends and I often attended his Church in Portsmouth. I still have some notes and letters he sent me if anyone would like them. I am 81 years old and shall p robably be joining Andrew in the not too distant future.

Andrew Barasda was working as director of the ARC in New Bedford Mass. I worked in the office and he was my boss. Andy was the kindest, gentless, most thoughtful person. I used to attend his church in RI often. I have several notes he wrote to me which I treasure. He will be greatly missed by me..

I was chair of the search committee that called andrew to st mary of the harbor provincetown. He was fond of saying: you get what you see. He was honest, compassionate and totally committed to social justce. We were very fond of him while he was with us.
