Anna A. Heaps

Anna A. Heaps, nee Procheska, age 85, of Street, Maryland, passed away peacefully in her home on January 9, 2022. She was born in Harford County and resided there most of her life. She was predeceased by her husband, Marshall T. Heaps. Ann, or Gabby, as she was fondly called by many, is survived by four sons, Michael T. Heaps (Debbie), R. Scott Heaps (Margie), Allan A. Heaps (Jenny), and Robert M. Heaps (Claudia). She had ten grandchildren, whom she cherished: Kimberly Smith (Justin), Marshall Heaps, Ryan Heaps (Valerie), Steven Heaps (Annmarie), Ashley Heaps, Benjamin Heaps (Alyssa), Loren Heaps, Julia Heaps, Robert Heaps (Landry) and John Heaps (Melissa). Also, she had four great grandchildren, Harper and Paige Smith, Andrew Heaps and Dakota Heaps. Anna was born on March 16, 1936 to James and Elizabeth Procheska, and attended Harford County schools. She was crowned Harford County Farm Queen in 1955 and married Marshall Heaps in November of that year. She worked along with her husband at Heaps Oil Company for 40 years. Ann was a Meals on Wheels volunteer, a member of the Whiteford American Legion Ladies Auxiliary and a member of Slate Ridge Church for many years. Ann and Marshall enjoyed their many friends and traveling the United States and the world. But she mostly enjoyed her home on the farm, bird watching, the Orioles and Ravens and spending time with her family. She will be laid to rest next to her husband at Slate Ridge Cemetery. A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date. The family would like to give special thanks to her caregivers.
