Anne's life took a meaningful turn when her future brother-in-law Macy and her sister Leslie arranged a blind date that introduced her to the love of her life, Barry Berman. She was a proud 1968 graduate of the University of Maryland with a bachelor's degree in English. Anne spent a lifetime putting her editing and writing talents to good use, lovingly proofreading the writing of friends and family and even helping Barry shape his dental school thesis. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, finding her greatest joy in raising her children and spoiling her grandchildren. Anne loved to travel, was an avid and thoughtful reader, and never stepped out of the house without presenting her best self to the world. She appreciated a good glass of wine, embraced every opportunity to shop, and lived with a generosity of heart and spirit that touched everyone around her. Deeply committed to her faith, she served as president of Har Sinai Congregation and proudly championed Judaism and Israel whenever she had the chance. The world is a better place because she was in it, she will be missed dearly by all who were lucky enough to have known her. May her memory be a blessing always.
