Berkley Richardson Obituary

Berkley (Berk) Richardson passed away with her family by her side on November 8, 2025 in Bel Air, Maryland.

Born Mary Berkley Bees on October 1, 1935, she was the daughter of the late Mary Bees (Brager) and John F. Bees. She had lived in Harford County since she was very young.

Berk was a 1953 graduate of Bel Air High School and was married to her high school sweetheart William B. Richardson for 57 years until his passing in 2012. In addition to playing sports in high school, she enjoyed bowling, tennis and travelling with her husband, family and close friends.

Berk was a member of Saint Margaret Parish and later Saint Ignatius Parish where she sang in the choir. She loved Thanksgiving and hosted dinner for decades.

She is remembered for her unwavering and endless devotion to her family and friends, which words cannot adequately express. She touched the lives of many through her kindness and positivity. Even recently, caregivers who had known her for a short period of time have remarked how she inspired them through her optimistic outlook and words of encouragement.

Her granddaughters were the light of her life. She was known as Gammy to her immediate family, extended family and close friends of her granddaughters. She recently celebrated her 90th birthday with her immediate family including her 10- month- old great grandson.

Berk is survived by her son Mark Richardson (Lyn), two granddaughters, Kelsey Richardson (Chelsea Cameron) and Erika Richardson (partner Jim Pierson), great-grandson Nolan William Richardson-Cameron, brother Fred Bees and nephew Tom Jones (Theresa).

In addition to her husband and parents, she was pre-deceased by her daughter Sandy Richardson and sister Shirley Jones.
