Betty Bertaux Obituary
On Oct. 10, Betty Bertaux. Beloved partner of Ramona Galey, devoted mother of (deceased) son Kevin Bertaux. Beloved sister of Denton Jones and Dorothy Boggs. Beloved music educator, composer, conductor and founder of Children's Chorus of Maryland & School of Music (CCM). Survived also by daughter-in-law Heidi Bertaux; three grandchildren; 2 nieces and 4 nephews. Service to be held Sat. Nov. 8 at 11 AM at the Church of Jesus Christ of the Latter Day Saints, 1400 Dulaney Valley Road, Lutherville MD 21093. Donations for CCM in lieu of flowers may be sent to 320 E. Towsontown Blvd, Terrace Level, Towson, MD 21286, or at www.ccmsings.org.

Miss Bertaux was a delightful music teacher when I was in 6th grade at Sudbrook. She taught us "Joseph and His Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat" and explained note frequencies in a way that everyone could understand. She was a rare teacher that made each class interesting and worthwhile.
Betty, you gave a gift to us that will always remain. Rest in the arm of Jesus.

Ramona and Heidi, I am so sorry I cannot attend this memorial service. I will be there in spirit! Please remember that the musical gifts that Betty shared so generously live on in her students and teachers she mentored all over the world. Blessings -

I had Miss Bertaux as my music teacher at Sudbrook Junior High way back in the early 70's. She was a wonderful teacher, so much fun. I loved hearing her sing and play the guitar.
