Funeral Home of Essex, 300 Mace Avenue on Tuesday at 11AM. Visiting hours on Monday 3-9 PM. Interment private.

There are few people that you meet that can make such and impact on you and Brian was one of those chosen few.Some people say I think of him all the time,But I can really say I do think of him.He always would help people even if it was just listening.Brian has left his mark with me and it is all GOOD.Thanks B for the memories that I have.

Jess,Kar,Jack Mr&Mrs Strayer,It is so hard to write this for me as you know I am Jess and was Jenn's granny Adams. I only knew Brian for a short while but I could see in that short while what a had worker,loving husband he was.No one feels the pain like the family but thank goodness they and friends were there for you. All I can say to all is like I believe God needed something that only Brian could do so he called him home but he wants us to know that Brian is JUST A BREATH AWAY ( a song by Josh Grobin) I only pray that someday we will be welcomed home by all those we have lost.RIP Gran son in law Kiss Jenn for us she would have loved your sense of humor.

Jess you don't know me but I work with Debbie and Brian. I met little Brian a couole times and I must say I feel honored to have known him. He had a personality second to none. He always made me laugh and like I had known him forever ! The last time I saw him he gave my two granddaughters each a balloon and asked them their names. They still remember that day. He gave me a hug and I will take that hug with me the rest of my life. Not often enough in this life do you meet people as special as Brian. You must be a very special person to have been loved by him. I just wanted to pay tribute to a wonderful person who left this world way too soon. I guess God needed a beautiful funny angel. God bless you and remember you are not alone.

The past 6 days have been a bad dream. Our hearts break for Debbie, big Brian, Jess, Melissa, Dave , Lisa, Joe. We all are grieving the tragic loss of someone way too young and full of life . Someone who we all loved very much. Someone who we've loved since October30, 1986, and who we've shared countless joys and sorrows, ups and downs. Someone who we loved and treated like our very own. We were honored to have been his Godparents, and we took that job very seriously. We were there for him, and he for us for 26 yrs. He brought us many joys and moments of pride over the years . And sure we've shared some bumps in the road . We loved him for his crazy antics and his heart of gold . We supported so many bright ideas and endeavors along the way. When he wanted to spread his wings and move on to New adventures we did not stop him. We always knew that he had big ideas and big dreams.
Debbie and Brian lost a son. Their children lost a brother . My kids lost a cousin, who was more like a brother and best friend . So many of us are hurting . And cannot explain why such a tragedy has occurred. We just just have to believe that our son, brother, husband , cousin, is in heaven where there is all that is good and beautiful.... just like the heart and soul of this young man who we've loved ... and always will.... RIP LIL WOO.

Our love and prayers are with Brian and everyone struggling with his loss. I can only picture him cradled in the loving arms of two of his favorite uncles, John Strayer & Johnny Bapisteller, Along with others he loved so much. Jess you and Brian had a special love and he adored you. You made him shine !! Brian and Debbie you raised a loving, kind, son who was extremely generous and helpful to everyone he knew. Hello this may sound odd but I can't stop thinking about Jessica and her family. I didn't know him and I don't know her but for some reason I can't get them off my mind. I am so deeply sorry for her loss and am saddened for her and her family. I am praying for her and I really hope she can find some comfort and peace in her life very soon. If you could. I am sure she is very overwhelmed with people who do know her trying to reach out to her but I just wanted her to know that even someone who has no idea who she is, is thinking of her an awful lot. ?

My deepest sympathy to the Strayer family. A loss like this, to a family ad close as yours, is heartbreaking. When I heard the news I told POP, Brian is comming, take good care of him. Dear Jess,Brian,Debbie and family,There are no words that can be said for how we feel about all of this.Haven't seen Brian in several months,but thought about him often.I'm going to sound like Gladys Cravits from Bewitched.From our back deck we could hear the projects and parties at the Stayer house in Golden Tree. Always made us feel good especially the parties cause it made us know Brian & Jess were living a Happy life!! Many times I said I need to take a walk and say hi and something always came up I'm sorry for that. Debbie and Brian you raised a good guy!! Anytime I had he and his Friends out he was always respectful and made sure everyone else was the same no matter how much they had to drink.He helped us move,put in our driveway and the pad for our shed.He always treated Fred and I like family.Brian had a spirit and presence that could light up any situation. It's sad to know that light has left this world. I do know that when I look up at the heavens Brian will be the BRIGHTEST star in the sky forever shining his light on all of us!!
