Carol Schott Obituary

Carol Theresa Schott, age 75, of Abingdon, Maryland, passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 1, 2025, in Bel Air. Born in Baltimore, she was the beloved daughter of the late Frank Jacob Lina, Jr., and Theresa M. (Heinze) Lina.

Carol was the devoted wife of Stephen Schott, with whom she shared 51 wonderful years of marriage. She was the loving mother of Brian Schott, and cherished grandmother of Hudson Schott, Peyton Schott, and Christian Schott. She is also survived by her brother, Frank Lina, sister, Debbie Lina, and sister, Melissa Cassidy.

Carol retired in 2012 from Harford Community College, where she worked as a cashier for 18 years. She enjoyed crafting, artwork, painting, boating, cooking, gardening, and listening to music, especially Bob Marley and Americana. She was known for her thoughtfulness-never missing a loved one's birthday and always making sure they received a phone call.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Susan G. Komen Foundation in Carol's memory.

My heart breaks for you all. We have not spent as much time together as we did when we lived on the east coast, but the times that we did spend together are really fond memories. I know you are all very close, and this is such a loss. Carol was always so welcoming, loving and full of fun. I send my love to all of you.
