Chris,
I think that there are a few on this earth that really know what it´s like doing a patrol in the heat, sweating, looking for the enemy, Waiting for him to pop out his head. but you knew the sacrifice and not one time did you ever complain! You never grumbled, you were direct, you gave the orders and nobody questioned you. A true leader. We lost the best that day! Thank you for watching over me, the convoys, the men! -Scorpion 3.

Chris,
Quiet, reserved, thinking, deliberate. A leader to the Team. The NCO who got it done. Watching my back on missions, my Right Hand Man. Knowing when to push. When the vehicle flipped in the canal, you were there with me watching my back, pulling security. You watched out over me when on Patrols no matter how simple the mission. Looking for that drone that crashed or doing night ops. You are never forgotten, always with me. Never a day goes by without the thought of your Sacrifice from Free Men. Your Brother, your Friend, Dan, Scorpion 3.

Hello,
We would like to express our deepest condolences and also let the Moudry Family and friends know that we will be sending Care Packages to deployed troops this week and we'll be dedicating several of these to your loved one. Each package will carry the name, photo and the hometown of Christopher O. Moudry US Army Staff Sergeant. We realize that this is a small tribute, but we do this with all respect and sincerity and we want you to know that it is made possible by thousands of like-minded individuals from across the American youth hockey community. We will not forget. May God Bless you and keep you safe and strong.
Sincerely,

hey daddy its kaila, it been about three years and i still feel the same as when you died. I miss having you around so much. I was a freshman this year, i actually made it to high school :) i only have one more month of being a freshman and then i get to become a sophmore. i really wish that you could have come to my 8th grade promotion last year, i got to wear a really pretty dress and heals, everyone said i looked so grown up and gorgeous :) i wish that you were there to see me in person and not just from the skies. i wish you were there for afterwards too when mommy gave me flowers and i had a cake and i got presents, even if you were there the one present i wish i had gotten was one more chance to hug you and tell you i love you and that you were the greatest dad i could ever have. i bet that if you were there for my first day of school as a freshman, that you would warn me about older boys and what not :) i really miss you... My birthday is in 2 weeks :) i really wish you could be here for it, not just as a spirit but alive, so you could hug me and say happy birthday... sorry that i havnt been to your grave in a while but its hard when you live so far away... i miss you and i love you, always and forever :)

Holding you all in my thoughts and prayers.
The Wind on The Downs
“I like to think of you as brown and tall,
As strong and living as you used to be,
In khaki tunic, Sam Brown belt and all,
And standing there and laughing down at me.
Because they tell me, dear, that you are dead,
Because I can no longer see your face,
You have not died, it is not true, instead
You seek adventure in some other place.
That you are round about me, I believe;
I hear you laughing as you used to do,
Yet loving all the things I think of you;
And knowing you are happy, should I grieve?
You follow and are watchful where I go.”
(Written by Marian Allen during World War l )
Two lines that I wish you to keep near your heart…….
“You seek adventure in some other place.
That you are round about me, I believe”
I did not know Christopher, but I am remembering

The Other Side
i'm over on the other side
where life and death softly divide.
left my skin and bones behind
now i'm over on the other side.
can you feel me there with you?
my breath is gone but i'm not through.
loved you then and i still do
from over on the other side.
i can fly. really fly.
below the earth ... all through the sky.
tell em all i did not die.
i'm just over on the other side.
it's good here on the other side.
the sweetest songs...the bluest skies.
thank you for the tears you cried
but it's good here on the other side.
i can fly. really fly. below the earth...all through the sky.
tell em all i did not die.
i'm just over on the other side
the world is smaller than a needle's eye.
where life and death softly divide.
when you leave your skin and bones behind
i'll be waiting on the other side.
i can fly. really fly. below the earth ... all through the sky.
go tell em all i did not die.
i'm just over on the other side.

Halfway down the trail to hell
In a shady meadow green,
Are the souls of all dead troopers camped
Near a good old-time canteen
And this eternal resting place
Is known as Fiddler’s Green.
Marching past, straight through to hell,
The infantry are seen,
Accompanied by the Engineers,
Artillery and Marine,
For none but the shades of Cavalrymen
Dismount at Fiddlers' Green.
Though some go curving down the trail
To seek a warmer scene,
No trooper ever gets to Hell
Ere he's emptied his canteen,
And so rides back to drink again
With friends at Fiddlers' Green.
And so when man and horse go down
Beneath a saber keen,
Or in a roaring charge or fierce melee
You stop a bullet clean,
And the hostiles come to get your scalp,
Just empty your canteen,
And put your pistol to your head
And go to Fiddlers' Green.
I just learned of Chris's Death through a friend today. He and I were stationed at 4/7 cav in S. Korea. He was a good teacher but also a great friend to a young ignorant soldier....me. I'll always love a man and you'll always be my hero. "Scouts Out"

There is nothing that I can say or do to take away the pain or bring you peace in your time of sorrow, but I will offer you and your family my heart felt condolences. I also offer you my prayers that in time the pain will easy and the memories of your HERO will carry you through each day and night. I want to thank your HERO, for his/her selfless act of becoming a member of the armed forces, his/her willingness to defend the United States of America, all that we hold sacred and for the sacrifice that will forever be etched in the memories of all those who knew him/her. Though tears can never bring him/her back, we hope that our tears express our gratitude for the sacrifice that he/she made and our sorrow at his/her passing. I believe for every fallen HERO there is a star shining brightly up above to remind us of the precious gift we were given.
Your mission on earth is complete and you are now a member of GOD’s Heavenly armed forces. Stand down brave warrior and take your rightful place in Heaven with all the HEROES who have passed before.
I made a special promise to LE RON A. WILSON, a dear family friend who joined the Army with three other friends, one of whom is my son (Le Ron was killed in action on 07/06/07 at the age of 18) on the day he was laid to rest as I touched his coffin, that I would never forget him nor would I forget those that gave their lives for our country before him, with him and after him and so when I came across www.legacy.com, I thought what a great way to keep my promise to Le Ron, so I will continue to leave tributes in each guest book until the day there is no longer the need to leave these tributes to a FALLEN HERO.

“Soldier”
Written to Honor the Service of Our Fallen Soldiers
Soldiers write history, we pay the price
Many miles distant, you live the life
Entered the Battle of our own free will
Out of Duty for Country, and we’d do it still
We hope and pray that all will find peace
In God, in the flag, in memories of valor
Gone now, our pride and courage you see
“An Army of One” our motto forever
Willing to risk all for love of our Brothers
We’re still Your Soldiers…and we showed the way
Our Lives too short, now pray for the others
Lived free died Heroes in lands far away
Deep within souls all cherished our Service
We’ll always have what some never know
Courage and Honor, our names forever
Lived life with purpose…just our time to go
We march in the Heavens with Honor and Glory
Missions accomplished we fought the Good Fight
Many years from now…we’ll tell the full story
Until that Day we will live in the Light
Our lives we laid down in a land far away
Still watching o’er you this night and by day
No need to talk…just know we are with you
There in your hearts and we hear what you pray
Yes we are your soldiers
Our lives we laid down
Still We guard o’er you
Still Duty bound
Entered the Battle of our own free will
Out of Duty for Country, and we’d do it still
We’ll always have what some never know
Lived life with purpose…it was our time to go

I am deeply for your loss. I met Chris when he was a PFC. He went through some hard times but I knew he was strong and he would come thru. When I saw his face I couldn't believe it!! Not him I said...he was genuinely a good man!!! I was depressed for a while thinking that life was not fair but I supposed I already got used to the idea that he is gone. I met him in Ft Carson, CO. He was so young and nice I believe I was getting out at the time but he left such a good impression that I was able to remeber him by sight and name. Again I am truly sorry for your great loss.

To the parents of Chris Moudry:
It's so difficult to say something if you lose someone who you love. I'm writing you from a small country in the heart of Europe called Slovakia (exCzechoslovakia). I don't know you but name Moudry seems as a Czech name and I feel like to say something. I was in Iraq over 6 months. We also lost 3 soldiers and they (as your son) were doing the best they can - helping poor people of Iraq. I could see this every day. I pray for all who must live with all this and your son will be never forgotten. Thank you very much to tell you this, dear parents of Chris. God Bless you. Chris must live in your hearts forever. And he will.

I grew up with Chris in Scouts. He definitely was very fun-loving and very intelligent. He also had a lot of patience and did not let things get to him... it least it seemed that way to me. He possessed many skills and knew how to do many things, and did not need a badge or patch on a uniform to prove it. He led younger scouts with his easy going manner and smile. He could often be found helping a younger scout set up a tent, teaching a skill, and playing around :) He led others through his humility, and in that he taught me something. I thank God for Chris and his friends and family are in my thoughts and prayers.

He was a guardian of freedom, he was kindhearted, and he was a good friend. Chris will be missed.
Sincerely,

Family and friends of SSG Christopher Moudry -
I had the honor of serving with this American Patriot and Hero in Iraq for six months this year. He represented everything that we could hope to have in an American Soldier. Caring, Compassionate, Technically Competent and Tactically Capable. He is the type of leader I would confidently entrust with leading my son in combat. He is irreplaceable to those of us who served with him, and his Army family will miss him as terribly as you do. I will never forget him, and I will continue to pray for you all.

My Deepest and most heartfelt sympathy goes out to the family of Staff Sgt. Christopher O. Moudry.
The price this Young Hero and his family have paid for this country and for freedom, WILL NEVER BE FORGOTTEN.
There is so much thanks to be given, to these young heroes, for their Courage, Service and Dedication.
May Christopher rest safely in God's Mighty Hands and may God's Loving Comfort and Grace be with the Moudry family.
I am the sister of such a young hero, who made the Ultimate Sacrifice in Vietnam, many years ago.
May you find strength in your faith, comfort in God's love, and peace in knowing this country is praying for you.
"Wait on the Lord, be of good courage and He shall strengthen your heart"
Psalm 27:14

To the Family of Staff Sgt. Christopher O. Moudry:
My heart breaks again as I sign yet another guest book of another courgeous young soldier who gave their life so selflessly. I wish I never found myself in a position to have to sign another guestbook for the rest of my life. We lost a son (SFC Brent A. Adams) 12/1/05 and it seems like yesterday.
I know first hand there are no words right now that will bring you the comfort and peace you need. Just know that you are not alone. My heart, thoughts, and prayers are with you all as you mourn this loss. We don't know each other, will probably never meet, but will forever be united in the loss of our Heroes. We have, unfortunately joined a group none of us wanted to join, an ever-growing group of families in this situation. May God grant you peace and strength to get through this and be able once again to smile at a memory rather than have only the tears that flow so easily now. To be so proud of your loved one and so saddened at the same time is a mix of emotions very difficult to deal with. I am sorry that I never knew your soldier personally, but none of these courageous men and women will be forgotten. They will never be able to be replaced, but sometime, someday your loving memories will help to sustain you. This courageous soldier will forever now be your Angel watching over you all for the rest of your lives. It's what brings me some measure of peace and comfort and I hope it will you as well. To his family and friends in pain, I offer this comfort: When you find yourself in that dark sorrowful place, think not only of how you will miss him, but instead recall the years, days, hours and minutes gifted to you by his presence. The one thing that cannot be taken from you is those wonderful memories that now will mean more than ever. If you ever want to talk, I'm only an e:mail away and would love for you to tell me more about your Hero. God Bless this courageous soldier and family and God Bless legacy.com for setting up this site where families can so quickly share their condolences and prayers with others like themselves.
