Cora Ruby Obituary

RUBY , Cora F. On January 17, 2012, CORA FRANCIS RUBY (nee Patterson), 84, died. She was the beloved wife of Charles Ruby, loving mother of C. Eric Ruby and Christine Vidourek, dear sister of Leroy, Howard, Oliver and the late Preston Patterson, Annie C. Simpers and the late Lola Sellers and Mable Rosier, loving grandmother of Matthew Vidourek, Stacey Burrows and Heather, Travis and Chelsea Ruby. Cora was a 20 year member of Friendship Square Dancers Club and was the past president in 1980. She was a volunteer for and a lifetime member of the Anne Arundel County Fair, she was a 4H Club leader of AACO "Timberlings" of Hanover and a camp councelor for 4H clubs. She also enjoyed making rubber stamps, bead work and most any handicraft work.
The family will receive friends from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 PM on Sunday, January 22 at Fink Funeral Home, 426 Crain Hwy. S. in Glen Burnie, where services will be held at 11 AM on Monday, January 23. Interment Crownsville Veterans Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Hospice of the Chesapeake, 445 Defense Highway Annapolis, MD 21401, http://www.hospicechesapeake.org/ or the AACO Fair Association, P.O. Box 372, Crownsville, MD, aacountyfair.org.
