David Scobee Obituary

David Martin Scobee was born on March 2, 1957, in Rolla, Missouri.

He spent most of his life in Howard County, Maryland, where he graduated in 1975 from Mount Hebron High School. He went on to get his Electrical Journeyman's License in 1984 and began his career as an electrician for Local IBEW 24. Some of his most interesting work was the construction of the Fort McHenry Tunnel in 1985 and the Oriole Park at Camden Yards in 1992.

David's life was centered around his three daughters where he took an active role in coaching their sport's teams. His fun-loving sense of humor and bright smile and silly jokes were always part of his coaching.

David had a natural ability in sports and participated in basketball, softball, and bowling leagues in his early adult years. He loved watching the Orioles and the Raven's, listening to Country Music, and loved to debate politics with a passion.

He stayed connected to his high school friends where we met his second wife Colleen Flannagan and married her in 2016.

David is survived by his loving parents Doris Scobee and Erwin Scobee. Proud father of Vanessa Stumpf (Marc Stumpf), Heather Scobee and Valerie Scobee. Brother of Russell Scobee (Regina Scobee) and Glenn Scobee (Denise Scobee). Cherished Pop-Pop of Mason, Brody and Aurora Stumpf.

Family will receive friends at the Harry H. Witzke's Family Funeral Home, 4112 Old Columbia Pike, Ellicott City, on Friday, November 18, 2022, from 4-7pm; where a Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, November 19, 2022, beginning at 11am.
