To Dave's Family,
I had the opportunity to work with Dave while on a special assignment at BGE. Dave was part of our team. I came to know Dave and appreciated his knowledge and expertise. He always had a smile, and some candy, and he made our days a little brighter. He spoke often of his love for his family. May God Bless him and keep him in His loving arms for all eternity. Dave, I only had the chance to know you for a few short years here at BGE, but you always had a smile on your face and you brightened up the office! Thanks! Thanks also for your service to our country and to our Marine Corps! Semper Fi!

One of my most strongest memories of you, Dave, proves how generous and caring you were. It was Christmas time and you had purchased tote bags for all of us girls. You inadvertently forgot a temp that was working with us also. Now some people would not even had thought of buying a temp a present. However, when you found out you forgot her, you felt so bad that she may think that you did that on purpose. You went out of your way to even pay extra shipping in order for her to get her bag. I always remembered that. I was honored to know you and have you touch my life. I know you are up in heaven, free from pain and worry and restrictions, looking down on us, and smiling your wonderful, warm smile. I miss your hugs but we will meet one day and we will hug again.

My condolences to the Sours family. I"ve only known Dave for a few years as a co-worker but he was a really nice person. He always kept a smile on his face regardless of his illness and still managed to put a smile on other's faces. Thanks Dave for stopping by and always leaving me with candy.

I knew Dave for only a couple of years, but his fun loving and playful spirit permeated our workplace. I pray that your family will be comforted by God in this time of bereavement. Know that God's plan is always best.. Trust Him! (Prov. 3:5-6)

Dave, my friend & mentor at BGE. I am honored to have known you, known what you stood for; your family, friends and your country. All you've been through in your life had toughened you up real good, but I knew you had a soft side! Thank you for allowing me to share good times, good lunches and not so good times with your cancer. Thank you for always having a positive attitude through it all. I dreamt you were walking beside me and I said, "Dave, you're not suppose to be walking!" and you said "Why, I told you I'd fool them!" You are an inspiration to people all over and you will be missed. Rest in peace, my friend.

I met Dave over 25 years ago and went on to develop great respect for the man as a co-worker and dear friend. His eagerness to lend a hand and generosity to everybody or any cause were legendary to those that knew him. Although I did not see him much at times due to job changes, our friendship never faded. I will always hold onto my memories of the times we spent together.

In the short time I have known Dave I will remember him as one of the most kind caring friends I have ever had. Dave was always there to share his stories and knowledge with anyone and everyone that would listen, even more valuable, to listen and show you the positive side of any negative situation, always with a smile.
As for the candy, I'm not much on sweets but I saved them for when I needed to brighten my day.
Memories of Dave will never fade from those of the lives he touched.

I have known David for many years. I can remember when he and Joyce first started dating when I was a child. He and I used to sit in Aunt Neetsie's house and watch TV together. I can honestly say that he was definitely one in a million! I always considered myself close to him, however, in the last few years I have had some troubles with my spouses disability which has limited my ability to spend a lot of quality time with family. I can without hesitation say that David was one of my favorite people. Whenever I was fortunate enough to spend time with him at family functions, it was always pleasurable to see his smiling face and hear his cheery voice yelling Hey Morgan in my direction. I will truly miss David, but will remember him with nothing but fond and happy memories.
