Edward McFadden Obituary

Edward Walter McFadden, 79, passed away February 18, 2026, surrounded by family.

Born June 10, 1946, Ed grew up in Baltimore, MD. In 1968 he graduated from Villanova University and married Kathleen L. Hughes. After serving in the U.S. Army, he enjoyed a 30-year career at AAI Corporation, then consulted with small businesses until retirement.

Ed devoted himself to coaching lacrosse. His coaching and parenting styles reflected who he was-calm, observant, and quietly expecting the best without raising his voice. He treasured his family, and his 57-year marriage to Kathleen was the joyous center of his world.

Ed was preceded in death by his daughter, Heather Megan Gladbach (survived by husband, Thomas), and his grandson, John Finnegan. He is survived by his wife, Kathleen; his son, Edward Jr. (Elisabeth Creighton); his grandchildren, Oscar, Vincent Gladbach, and Caroline Gladbach; his brothers, John and Joseph (Meg); and his sister, Mary Molinaro.

A private ceremony will be held for the family.

I worked with Ed for many years. I always liked him and held him in high regard. I was always glad to be on the same side of the negotiating table as him.

I worked with Ed in the AAI Contracts Dept. for many, many years. We negotiated many Government contracts together and other companies. May God bless Kathleen and all the family in this time of sorrow.

Joe,
I was sorry to read about your brother. He was one of the lacrosse greats.
We are sorry for your loss. Remember all that he did with you and for you, and he will live in your heart forever. The sadness you feel today will turn to happy memories in the years to come.
