Memorial service will be held at St. Mark's Episcopal Church, 12621 Old Columbia Pike, Silver Spring, MD on Friday, February 18, at 11 AM. Interment private. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Alban's School Scholarship Fund, Mount St. Alban, Washington, D.C. 20016. www.borgwardtfuneralhome.com

Ed and Doris Hood gave my daughter, Louise, a great treasure - their son, Muray, and they gave me a great gift, their friendship. Ed was a very sweet, gentle soul. I'm glad that I shared a bit of his world. Myra Tate

As a young attorney and even though representing one of the smallest shipyards in San Diego, Ed valued my input and provided great assistance to the new kid on the block. He treated every one like family, and showed true concern for the well being of out of towners. I will always be grateful for his guidance and good cheer.
