In Loving Memory of Bettie Tabeling - A Generous and Loving Mother

On Thursday, June 15th, 2023, our hearts were filled with both sorrow and gratitude as we said goodbye to our beloved mother, Bettie Tabeling (nee Sheedy). She peacefully passed from this life, joining her beloved husband, William J. Tabeling Jr., and her predeceased half-sister Ruth Hause (nee Klutch). Bettie's life, spanning an incredible 94 years, was lived entirely in Baltimore, Maryland, where she touched the lives of all who knew her and where she raised 4 children, William J Tabeling III (Gail), James E. Tabeling (Mary), Lynn Flach (Arthur) and Diane Zorbis (Alex), all of Baltimore, Maryland. She is survived by nine cherished grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Despite facing physical disabilities in her later years, Bettie's unyielding zest for life and her positive, can-do attitude shone through. Her strength and courage were an inspiration to all who witnessed her journey. She faced every challenge with resilience and grace, becoming a living example of the power of determination and perseverance. In an expression of her generous and altruistic nature, Bettie made the selfless decision to donate her body to the State Anatomy Board. Through this final act of giving, she continues to contribute to advancing medical knowledge, education, and potentially saving lives. It serves as a testament to her enduring spirit of compassion and her desire to make a difference in the lives of others. Remembrances be made to the St.Jude Children's Research Hospital.
