I met Frank in Ocean City Maryland in the summer of 1970 and I was infatuated with his oldest daughter Marie. I remember Frank as a very giving person and family man and was a strong Catholic. He made a great impression on me. God bless him as he and Mary and Stephen are with the angels. Amen

To Frank's family -
Frank will always be walking with us "trackers" at the Bethesda "Y". Dubbed the "mayor" of the track, Frank was the unifying presence among us, always life-affirming, waving to everyone, smiling, sharing his enjoyment of dances, cruises, family, garden, myriad activities. As one of our early-morning walkers said: "before Frank" she would walk by herself, not speaking to others, wrapped in her cocoon. It took Frank to make us all into a family. He was one of a kind - and "kind" is the operative word here. There aren't enough good adjectives to describe Frank - new ones need to be invented.

Dearest Steve and beautiful sisters,
Please accept my sincerest condolences for the loss of the second-kindess man on Earth (my father beating him by just a hair). If anyone is sure to go immediately to Heaven, it's your Dad. Be proud of the life he led and the great kids he raised.
With all my thoughts and prayers,
El

This man loved life. From the hundreds of tulips in the front yard to the square dancing at night. Frank's cheery smile and friendly greeting on the way back from his long morning walks shook me out of the sleepy morning blahs when I retrived the morning paper by the curb. On the really late days, I knew he'd been there already since the paper had been placed on the stoop earlier. It was a regular unsolicited favor. I think about him every time I get that paper now.
