Gail Yumkas

Gail B. Yumkas (nee Blum), of Towson, MD, passed away on Monday, October 21st, 2024, at the age of 88. She is survived by her husband, Charles Yumkas; by her children, Carol Yumkas, Mark (Nancy) Yumkas, and Lawrence Yumkas (Miriam Fisher); by her brother, Stan Blum; by her grandchildren, Emily Yumkas, Ben Yumkas, Jake (Paige) Yumkas, and Molly Yumkas. She was predeceased by her parents, Jeannette and Jack Blum.

Gail enjoyed a varied career path including Director of Volunteer Services for Maryland Public Television - 4 years, American University - Coordinator for Continuing Education and Instructor in Public Relations in the Masters Degree Program, and Loyola University - Assistant Dean of School of Business - 10 years. She loved mentoring students and colleagues. Her greatest joy was being a grandmother.

Services at Sol Levinson's Chapel, 8900 Reisterstown Road, Pikesville, MD 21208, on Wednesday, October 23rd, 2024, at 2:30pm. Interment Beth El Memorial Park - Randallstown. Please omit flowers. The family will be sitting Shiva from 5:30-7:30 pm on Wednesday October 23rd at Edenwald, 800 Southerly Drive, Towson, MD 21286. Family will also be receiving visitors at Edenwald on Thursday October 24th from 4-7pm.
