George Primus Obituary

PRIMUS, JR. , George Edwin GEORGE EDWIN PRIMUS, JR., a retired mail handler for the Baltimore Public School System and a Baltimore City resident, died May 12th at Bon Secours Hospital. He was 70 years old. George Primus Jr. was born in Newberry, SC. He moved to Baltimore City at an early age with sister Ruth and their late parents, Mr. George Primus Sr. and Mrs. Maria Morgan Primus. Mr. Primus, or Primo as his was fondly known, rode with the Charm City Riders back in the 80s. He enjoyed road trips on his Harley to South Carolina and his beloved city, Baltimore. Mr. Primus retired in 1998. He enjoyed spending time with his son, Desmond Collins, who also shared his father's love of motorcycles. Mr. Primus cultivated a new hobby, photography, attending photography courses and focusing his eye on Baltimore city scenes. A devoted son, he cared for his mother Mrs. Maria Primus until her death in 2002. Mr. Primus is survived by his son Desmond Collins and grandson Deshawn Collins, of Baltimore; son John Edwin Primus of Salt Lake City, UT; and his older sister Ruth Primus Bland of Orlando, FL.

My condolences to the family. I met Primo back in the 80's when he delivered mail for BCPS. He was always pleasant and I am glad to have known him.

I met "Primo" many years ago through some of his co-workers. I always smile when I think of him because he was such a warm fun-loving person. He loved his bike riding. Although it has been so long since I saw/spoke with him, I still have the fond memories.

I know you have many fond memories to comfort you during this time. Please know that i'll keep your family in my prayers.
