George E. Thomsen

George Edward Thomsen, beloved husband of the late Mary Ellen Thomsen (nee Reinert) died peacefully at Roland Park Place on August 26 at the age of 93. Mr. Thomsen, a former trusts and estates attorney with the Baltimore firm of Thomsen and Burke was a graduate of Harvard College (1952) and Harvard Law School (1957), served in the Air Force from 1952-1954, and served on the boards of Gilman School, Goucher College, and St. Mary's Seminary and University. Mr. Thomsen is survived by his sons (and daughters-in-law) Roszel C. Thomsen II (Dorothy Gay) of Maryland, Stewart G. Thomsen (Rosemary Thomsen) of Massachusetts, Laurence W. Thomsen (Julie Checkoway) of California; and seven grandchildren: Meghan Thomsen, Caroline Thomsen, Philip Thomsen, Sarah Thomsen, John Thomsen, Abigail Thomsen, and Stevie Thomsen. Dear brother of the late Grace Thomsen Babcock and Margaret Thomsen Moler.

An open celebration of life service will be held at Roland Park Presbyterian Church on Saturday, September 21, at a time to be determined. Interment will be private.
