Susie,
I just became aware of this online Guest Book, and I want to use it to tell you that it was an honor and a privilege to be Jerry's friend for over 50 years, and that I loved him and will miss him terribly. Sandy and I extend our condolences, and our love, to you, and I hope you know that if I can ever do anything, anything at all, for you or your family, all you have to do is ask.

Susie, Robbie, and Brian,
We are so very sorry to hear about Jerry. Our thoughts and prayers remain with your entire family as they have been. We only knew him for a brief two years, but with all the stories he told about your family, it seems like a lifetime. We were introduced to Jerry through the mom of one of his pupils that we met during the last 15 minutes of a cruise. We had been contemplating a finding a coach and we knew we had to meet Jerry as she bragged about him and the way he coached and how much he actually cared about the kids. (it was carma) I remember like it was yesterday when we sat with Jerry in the pitching cage on our first visit and he just kept smiling as our son Austin, who was 10 at the time, kept pitching. Jerry kept mumbling “this is going to be fun”. He kept calling others over to see this new kid he had. Every week he kept asking us again and again “how old is Austin?” It made us chuckle week after week. In our brief time with him, he impressed upon Austin not only pitching, but respect. Austin would listen intently to every word out of Jerry and looked forward to every lesson and was upset when he had to miss a week. Our younger son, Logan, hates being drug around to the baseball stuff, but Jerry always made it fun for him to go to pitching as well. No matter what Austin ends up doing, your husband and father had a huge impact on his life and ours. And as I read some of the other condolences, it is clear Jerry impacted many people in the same manner. May God’s peace shine upon you and your family and help all who Jerry touched move forward, but never forget this wonderful man.

Dear Susie, Brian and Robbie,
My sincere condolences on Jerry's passing. He and I spent much time as kids on the baseball field and basketball court, and he was the consummate athlete, teammate, and friend. Although I saw him less in later years, it was always a thrill to run into him and a pleasure to be in his company. I will miss him.

Brian, Robbie, Sue, Lisa & Karen:
I was shocked and deeply saddened when I was made aware of Gerry's passing yesterday. The first thought that came to my mind was all of the wonderful conversations we would share while he visited me at the computer shop. He always brightened my day regardless of how stressful it might have been.
It is with my deepest sympathies and heartfelt wishes to all of you.
Love, Keith

To Rob, Brian, Susan and the entire Bark family,
It is with a heavy heart that I send out my most sincere condolences to your whole family from my family. Gerry touched many a life in his time here especially through baseball and mine was no exception. From little league games at Liberty Road to hot summers at Swann Park with Johnny's, he always seemed to be there trying to teach, motivate and inspire not only his own kids but all the kids to be great. I know he certainly reached me and I know that he will greatly missed. Again I am sorry for your loss and you all are in our thoughts and prayers.

Susie,
I remember when you and Gerry started dating, his baseball career (Was it the Mets?), and how in love you were with each other. I am so sorry to learn of his passing. Though we've traveled many miles since 1962, my memory of Gerry as a decent kid who became a fine man will remain.

To Gerry's family,
Gery and I went back to playing 10-12 baseball for Frank Springer's Red Legs at Towanda playfield. Several years ago I sent him a photo of the two of us with my arm around him after a big win. Gerry was the pitcher and I was the catcher on the team. I've seen Gerry many times since then, especially when my son Adam played for his baseball team about 8 or 9 years ago. I was shocked to hear about Gerry's untimely death and will miss him.
