Helena Blitstein Obituary

Helena Hinda Blitstein, of Owings Mills, Maryland, passed away on Saturday, September 20th, 2025, at the age of 68. She is survived by her devoted husband, Stanley Edward Blitstein; loving children, Marla (Jed) Hiken and Alan (Kacy) Blitstein; caring twin sister, Cecelia (Israel) Pelc; adored grandchildren, Jacob Hiken, Sutton Hiken, Rosie Blitstein and Lucie Blitstein; and beloved niece and nephew, Elaine Pelc (Steve Irwin) and Josh Pelc (Kamila Kourbanova); and cherished great-nieces, Eloise Irwin and Goldie Irwin. She was predeceased by her dear parents, Abram and Elaine Blum.

Helena radiated joy and happiness to all who knew her, and she found her greatest fulfillment in the time she shared with her beloved family and friends. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Services at Sol Levinson's Chapel, 8900 Reisterstown Road, Pikesville, MD 21208, on Monday, September 22nd, 2025, at 11:30 AM. Interment Shaarei Zion Cemetery. Please omit flowers. Contributions in her memory may be sent to Beth El Children's Preschool Scholarship Fund, 8101 Park Heights Ave, Pikesville, MD 21208 or Leukemia Research Foundation, 191 Waukegan Road, Suite 105, Northfield, IL 60093.
