Jacob, it seems such a short time ago that we first met you in 2009, an aspiring young rocket scientist at age 5. Your brilliance shined throughout the years, and you were a friend and inspiration to many. You left the world far too soon. We love you forever!

I was Jacob´s roommate, and he had one of the kindest hearts I knew. He always wished us to have a good day or night whenever he saw us, and that´s something I will never forget. His work ethic and dedication towards his goals in life were inspiring. He was a great roommate, and his passion for rockets and space was incredible.

Jacob and my son Jacob became friends Freshman year at Embry Riddle University. They actually became very good friends, formed a band and played alot of music together & spent time hanging out. Jacob was such a kind, caring and all around amazing young man. He helped my Jacob immensely. Words can not express our condolences to the Devine family. Your son touched many lives in such a positive way and his life will be remembered in the most positive and inspirational way. My Jacob believes "Jacob (Devine) was the better Jacob".
We are so sorry for your loss.

For the briefest moment I knew you, you impacted my life in more ways than I will ever know. I will never forget meeting you in the last few hours before roommate selection. On our first phone call together I mentioned United Launch Alliance CEO Tory Bruno by name and you knew who he was and you were the first person who actually understood what I was talking about. From that moment on I knew I wasn´t alone in the world. Or the time on the drive to Kennedy Space Center with your parents when we were talking about the performance of the RS-25 Space Shuttle engines and when one of us stopped talking the other could pick up the conversation and carry on without skipping a beat. We turned that trip into an eight hour history lesson for your parents, you were the one who made me notice that the Saturn V exhibit didn´t have the fin fairings over the F-1 engines. That trip to Kennedy with your parents always stuck with me and I would tell that story over and over to my friends and family back home. I remember the late nights when you used to come back coated in fiberglass dust from the rocket labs, you used to put your respirator and lab coat in a plastic bag because you were worried about triggering my asthma. If I had known those would be some of our last moments together I would´ve done so much more to cherish them. Having known you was the privilege of a lifetime. I will always remember your drive and passion for engineering. Rest well Jacob.
We will do our greatest work in your honor.

We met in freshman year of college at Embry Riddle. Initially we had a group of friends that we started a band with, just absolutely having fun together, bonding through music. But memories we share don´t stop there. There was countless nights that we´ve stayed up playing video games with each other, late night grubs, couple board games, watching the Artemis 1 launch, and many more that I cannot count. Even though we parted ways after our first year to different schools, we were all still having the same fun online together holding our friendship dearly. Im going to miss you Jacob, you were an amazing passionate and absolutely fun friend. Rest in peace, Jacob.

We met by chance in a small band that we created with a few other friends in our freshman year at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. We had a fun packed blast of a year bonding through music, video games, couple board games, and late night shenanigans. Unfortunately, some of us did part ways after freshman year (including myself), but we were all still in touch online. There will be countless memories shared together that will be held dearly. I´m gonna miss you man, you were such a motivated, passionate, and great friend.

My name is Kristopher Darryl-Walker Fryer. I met Jacob through a friend group that I joined during my time at Embry-Riddle. We had a lot of fun together, we played card games, listened to music, played Dungeons n' Dragons, Computer games, and just had an overall great time together. We all poked fun at each other, because that's what guy friends do. He was sort of the punching bag of the group, but we all love and care about him. We wanted the best for him and supported him through times of hard, and he did the same for us. I remember in the last couple weeks of Freshman year we spent some time playing a card game together late at night. One of our friends got mad and left, he's bad at the game, but the rest of us stayed and played a couple more games. I don't remember exactly how it happened, but Jacob managed to win both times which was really cool. I also remember the time we all went out to Texas Roadhouse and ate food together, it was a really great time as a final in person hangout before everyone went their separate ways in life. He was always late to hanging out which was a running joke int he group, but we knew because he was always working his butt off to do good in school. I think this message is getting a bit too long so, I'll try and shorten what I want to say. Jacob Devine, you're a great guy man, I wish I had the same amount of passion and conviction for a subject as you do. You play the Guitar well, much better than I can. Even if you were late a lot of the time, our DnD sessions were really fun and it's unfortunate that I won't be able to see the end of it with you my friend. May your soul rest in piece. Fly high Jacob, Fly High.

Jacob and I met back in Embry-Riddle. Sharing the same name and similar interests we wanted to play music together. Since then we started hanging out and just being great friends. Formed a band, played DnD, video games. Anything, you name it. Jacob, you were truly someone I did look up to, your drive to do what you want and get it done was unmatched. You persevered through it all and you inspired and still inspire me to better myself every day. From one Jacob to another, I'm gonna miss you man. I'm gonna miss you a lot.

I met Jacob my first year of college and shared a class with him during our first semester together. We were good friends and hung out often with our little friend group, even though he was usually busy all the time. Me and him would always share notes and help keep attendance in our psychology class if one of us was absent. We shared many interests in games and anime, we even went to watch the Evangelion 3.0+1.0 movie since they were showing it in theaters. May his soul rest in peace.

Jacob had made an impact on my son Masons life far beyond a friendship. Recently Jacob took the time to show Mason around the Purdue campus and share his enthusiasm and excitement for the program and studies. It solidified Masons decision to commit to Purdue and the whole Levere family, is forever grateful for their friendship, Jacobs kind spirit and generosity, and the impact he had on my son. Thank you so much for raising a good young man, he made a difference in many peoples lives. Sending our deepest and warmest condolences. Mason, Ava, Luci and Doug Levere

My son Steven met Jacob in his first year at Embry-Riddle and quickly became friends. They played music together, formed a band, and were both active in the music club. When he transferred to Purdue, they stayed in touch, often played computer games virtually, and always had fun. I met Jacob when he visited our home during a hurricane evacuation, and I find him positive, happy, true to his faith, and intelligent.
Please know that he had made such a positive impact on my son's life, and we are so, so sad hearing this news. We will be praying for you and Jacob.
