Frances PERNO

PERNO Frances (nee Neglia), age 95 of Garfield, died on June 21, 2010. She was born and resided in Passaic for 25 years settling in Garfield 70 years ago. She was a seamstress for 48 years with Frank Saltz & Sons, Passaic retiring in 1977, she was a parishioner of Mt. Virgin Church, and a member of the Amalgamated Textile Workers' Union. She is predeceased by her husband Frank in 1991, three sisters Jennie Neglia, Nancy Zubowicz, and Josephine Benanti, and her son-in-law Louis Diani. She is survived by a son Joseph and his wife Maria, a daughter Antoinette Diani, a sister Rose Alaimo, six grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren. The funeral is Thursday, June 24, arriving at the Aloia Funeral Home, 180 Harrison Ave., Garfield (973-340-7077) at 9 AM followed by a 10 AM mass at Our Lady of Mount Virgin Church, Garfield. Entombment St. Nicholas Cemetery, Lodi. Visiting Wednesday 2-4 and 7-9 PM.
