She was a Light of laughter since I was a young boy mowing her lawn and digging gardens to make money to buy guitar equipment or take Eliza out on dates. When times were tough as a teen - she was always someone to lift me up--never judgmental or talking down to me.
She would make fun, was sometimes outrageous in her bigness, crass in an endearing and fun way and a great listener and loving neighbor who would check in on my parents when we were away. I had so many conversations with her about life, family, and odd crazy things and she always made me laugh and smile -- I didn't feel she was an adult lecturing me but a wise, accessible friend I could just be me around.
I remember she once was trying to get me to understand faith and insisted I go upstairs so she could get through to my thick skull her way of living and teach me her simple and powerful way of living: ASK - BELIEVE-RECEIVE and she showed me how she sold her Red Van with her faith and philosophy in this simple powerful teaching. She had those three words on her wall with a picture of her van, a check for the amount she wanted to sell it for and then evidence that some random person called and bought it for that amount in no time (way more than what a dealer or anyone else would offer). I was a man then - - mid-late forties. She was beginning to struggle with stairs and ailing in her health and she spoke to me like I was a little boy and she my teacher to make sure I got the message Jesus shared before she moved on -- to the point where she was screaming it into me to make sure this young, older man got this message once and for all from the funny, eccentric, neighbor lady who he loved so much and trusted -- ASK, BELIEVE, RECEIVE.
I will never forget it.
I loved her Spirit and the World will be less alive with her laughter, funny jokes, and compassion...
If anyone has George's number please forward it to me.
Peace to you all and lets all have a big belly laugh for Mrs. Tudder and see her huge smile and cutting humor laughing down at us from Heaven now that she is at rest and back with her Paul who she loved and lived without for so many years.
Love and Light to you all and God bless her, her family and each of you

Mrs. Tudder was my sixth grade teacher, and she was a wonderful teacher! One of my favorites. I talk about her to my own third grade class, forty years later... She will be remembered.
