Jean Walstrum Obituary

Jean Martin Walstrum, age 90, of Bel Air, Maryland, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 21, 2025. Born in Level, Maryland, she was the daughter of the late Rader Peck Martin, Sr., and Mary (Scarborough) Martin. She was the devoted wife of the late John Leroy Walstrum.

Jean was a loving and dedicated mother to her sons, Richard Walstrum, and his wife Olena, and John Walstrum and his wife Maureen. She was a cherished grandmother to Adam Walstrum and Melissa Walstrum, and a proud great-grandmother to three great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, Dorothy McKeen, and her brother, Rader Martin, Jr.

Jean enjoyed the simple pleasures in life. She found joy in doing puzzles and took great pleasure in walking along the Ma & Pa Trail. She especially loved spending time with her loyal Pomeranian companion, Taffy, who brought her much comfort and happiness.

A visitation will be held on Friday, September 26, 2025, at 12 – 4 pm at McComas Family Funeral Homes in Bel Air, Maryland.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the ASPCA, an organization close to Jean's heart.

An online guestbook is available for messages of condolence at mccomasfuneralhome.com.
