God Bless you Father. My priest and my friend. You were never too busy to look after us, your St. Mary's family of parishioners. You were truly loved by all of us and you have earned your rest.

I am so sad to hear of this news.....I was thinking about him because today is his birthday so I jumped online to see if I could find out where he was etc......and I find this.
Fr. Lippold was an amazing priest; he certainly was a gift to the St John the Evangelist here in Frederick Md. back in the mid 60's. EVERYONE loved him....especially the Moore family. He would come out to visit almost every Sunday to play baseball or help make ice cream or just hang out.....he baptized the last 2 of the 9 children in my immediate family.......wonderful memories that can never be taken away of this man......Happy Birthday, Father! Hope that you get together with Mom and Dad and play some golf!!!!

Father Lippold - I will always have wonderful memories of your years at St. John's Church in Frederick - From your masses and sermons, your kindness and patient mentoring of our class of 1967 through our teen years and beyond. Your smile and friendship were always welcome at the many class reunions you attended with us over the years. I know you are with God enjoying peace and His boundless love. My thoughts and prayers are with your family.

Fr. Lippold married my husband and I 54 years ago at St. Bernard's on Gorsuch Ave.
and we renewed our vows for our 25 Wedding
Anniversary at St. Philip Neri Church. He kept in contact with us over the years and
he will truly be missed, he was a true friend.

Rest in peace Fr Lippold. I was there at St Bernard's when he came from the seminary, he was young and loved by all. I will always remember him coming out to the playground and getting involved with the kids. And of course his mass was always my favorite. He was a good friend of my family for many, many years. May he rest in the arms of his Father.

Rest in peace Father Lippold. Enjoy the fruits of heaven. As a young alter boy at St. Bernards Church in Waverly I will always have memories of the young Father Lippold delivering the most beautiful mass and novenas that a priest could deliver. You had a gift from God and you made the most of it. There were nine children in our family and I know I speak for everyone. My mother knew what mass you would preside and that was the mass she would attend. You were more than a priest at St. Bernard's you were a rock star. You owned the high mass with your voice singing the Latin hymns.
Our Father in heaven has been waiting for you.
