PANZER , John J. On February 27, 2007, JOHN J.

PANZER; loving husband of Norma Kenney Panzer; devoted father of Madeleine Hoffmann and her husband Bruce, John Panzer, Jr. his wife Lucy, Francis Panzer and his wife Evelyn, Catherine Stemmer and her husband Bill, Mary Dannenfelser and her husband Richard and Richard Panzer. Also survived by 27 grandchildren and 35 great-grandchildren, brother-in-law Melvin R. Kenney, sister-in-law Margie Bruns. John was the son of Andrew and Margaret Strehlen Panzer, brother of Andrew Panzer and Anna Panzer Schrenker. John formally lived in Jarrettsville, Md and owned his own home construction company that he started in 1957. He was born and raised in Perry Hall, Md and attended St. Joseph Church in Fullerton where he was a valued parishioner. He was very active in church affairs and functions and enjoyed working with the Boy Scouts of America as Scoutmaster. John also occupied the office of President of the Holy Name Society and was Past Grand Knight of the Cardinal Gibbons Council 2521. He was also a long time member of the Board of Directors of the Baltimore County Savings Bank. John has been married to his wife, Norma, since September 23, 1939 and lived in Fullerton. They later moved to Perry Hall in 1955 and then Jarrettsville until retirement. They later moved to Florida in 1989.
A funeral service was held at St. Joseph Church, Zephyrhills, FL, and burial at Florida National Cemetery. Donations, in lieu of flowers can be sent to St. Marys Catholic Church in Pylesville, Md, or St. Joseph Catholic Church in Fullerton, Md.
