John Charles Zacharias

John Charles Zacharias, 69, of Pittsburgh, PA, passed away on October 10, 2023. He was born on October 13, 1953, in Berea, OH, to the late Ralph and Joann Zacharias (Miller). John was preceded in death by his brother, Alan Zacharias.

John was a loving husband to Marcy and a dedicated father to his children, Jarod (Courtney) and Elissa (Robert) LaHart, both of Maryland. He cherished his role as a grandfather and found immense joy in spending time with his four grandchildren, Natalie, Lillian, Zachary, and Mary Jane. They were truly the lights of his life. John was survived by his brother, Michael Zacharias (Maureen) of Butler, PA and his brother-in-law Marc Finer (Vida) of Pittsburgh PA.

In his free time, John enjoyed the beauty of the Maryland outdoors. He had a passion for golfing, crabbing, fishing, and even jewelry making. His creativity and love for nature were evident in his hobbies.

Professionally, John had a successful career as a Land Surveyor, dedicating over thirty-five years to his craft. His expertise and attention to detail were highly regarded in his field.

Family and friends are invited to attend the visitation on October 12, 2023, from 2pm to 6pm at Neely Funeral Home, 2208 Mt. Royal Blvd., Glenshaw, PA.

Funeral will take place on October 13, 2023 at 11am at Bethel Lutheran Church, 301 Scott Ave., Glenshaw, PA. Internment will be private.

In memory of John, donations can be made to the American Cancer Society. Flower donations are welcomed.
