Gen and Joe are a true example of soul-mates.

I am Gen's cousin Dorothy's granddaughter. I have wonderful memories of visiting Joe and Gen at their shore house as a child. I, along with my mother, was so blessed to be able to introduce my son to them this summer for the first time. Colin took to Joe immedietly, crawling over to his feet and patting Joe on the knee. Even though it was the last time we saw him, I was touched to have four generations together! Joe, I loved your enthusiasm for life, we will miss you.

"Uncle Joe" and "Aunt Genevieve" have been there for the family through all of the happy times and the sad ones too. Every event included a pogress report on the Liberty Ship restoration project of which Joe was obviously proud. Memories go way, way back to the days at Uncle Buds, but for all of my recent memories, You can't say "Aunt Genevieve without including "Uncle Joe." Side by side always, always cheerful and optimistic, and always interested in the family and its history. We'll think of you often, and there will be prayers for Aunt Genevieve to stay happy and active.

Sincerely Joe Newberger & Family
