Karen Glass

Karen Leslie Glass, of Los Angeles, California, formerly of Baltimore, Maryland, died on Monday, December 22nd, 2025, at the age of 63. She's survived by her beloved son, Zachary Sean Barry; her sister and brother, Randi Glass Murray and Ira Glass; their spouses David Meckel and Susanna Fogel; her stepmother Sandy Glass; her nephews Sam and Ben Murray; her uncle Bennett Politzer; and many loving friends. Her parents were Shirley and Barry Glass; her grandparents were Frieda Glass and Mollie and Melvin Politzer. She was close with her cousins Amy Mischler and Holly DuBois and their families.

Karen's always been interested in everyone around her, outgoing and engaged, warm and funny. She has a devoted group of longtime friends. Her son – Zach – was the center of her world. She worked for years as a film executive at Disney, making a number of iconic movies, most memorably "The Princess Diaries" (she bought the book for Disney and insisted they hire Julie Andrews) and the 2003 "Freaky Friday." She's also produced a number of holiday films including – this year – "A Pickleball Christmas." She recently started a business to counsel high school students applying to college. Karen graduated from Milford Mill High School, the University of Pennsylvania and the UCLA Anderson School of Business.

A funeral service will be held in Los Angeles, California on Tuesday, December 23, 2025 at 2 pm PT. It will be livestreamed at https://TBHLA.livecontrol.tv/8751b671. An interment service will be held at Har Sinai Cemetery, 11405 Garrison Forest Road Owings Mills, MD 21117, on Friday, December 26, 2025, at 11 am. Please omit flowers
