Lora Jean Ball

November 10, 1952 to October 22, 2021

Lora Jean Ball joined her Lord and Savior on October 22, 2021. She passed surrounded by her children after bravely battling Covid-19. Lora was born on November 10, 1952 in Baltimore, Md. She was a treasured Mother, Grandmother, Sister, Aunt and Friend. Her greatest joy in life was her family which she showered with love and support. She was kindhearted, lively and always put others needs above her own. Lora had a strong faith and trust in the Lord and triumphed over many adversities with His grace. In addition to being a homemaker, Lora worked as a school bus driver in both Pennsylvania and Maryland, as well as an armored truck driver. She loved animals and nature. She enjoyed planting flowers and creating beautiful outdoor landscapes. Lora is preceded in death by her sister Pat Apitsch, brother James Doyle and nephew Jerry Howell. She is survived by her children, Tonya McDonough and husband Scott from Lewisberry, PA And Tina Lackey from Harrisburg, PA, siblings Jackie Howell and husband Gary, Rose Wyckoff and husband Bob, Melvin Doyle and wife Mila; her beloved grandchildren Zoe, Tanner, Megan, Cruz and Jack. Services will be held at 1pm on Friday November 5, 2021 at Mountain Christian Church "Walker Chapel".1824 Mountain Rd. Joppatowne, MD. 21085. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her memory to a local Humane Society.
