Marilyn Marcus

Marilyn "Molly" Marcus, of Baltimore, Maryland, passed away on Friday, February 20, 2026, at the age of 83.



She grew up in Cambridge, Massachusetts and graduated from Cambridge High and Latin School and Simmons College, before moving to Baltimore in the mid 1960s. She later received a Masters of Social Work from the University of Maryland. For three decades she worked as a social worker and therapist, primarily for the state of Maryland.

She is survived by her loving son, Gary Marcus and his spouse Athena; grandchildren, Alexander, and Chloe; brother-in-law, Theodore; and nieces and nephews, Amy, Michael, Mark, Rachel, Nancy, and Ben. She was predeceased by her caring siblings, Nathan and his wife Ruth, David and his wife Elaine, Esther, and Ethel; and her parents, Israel and Sybil.
