Mary Ellen LaCOTTI
On January 4, 2022, Mary Ellen LaCotti (nee Shepard), beloved wife of the late Isaac Edward LaCotti, devoted mother of Rebekah Fitzwater and Sarah (James) Jones, loving grandmother of Matthew Fitzwater, Alex Jones and Colin Jones.

Mary spent her retired years enjoying her favorite hobbies of sewing, quilting and crocheting. She created countless quilts for Quilts For Kids, crocheted prayer shawls for breast cancer patients and participated in numerous crafting projects to hand make and donate hats for homeless shelters. She never left home without a bag of yarn and her crochet hooks as she liked to work on projects every spare moment. Mary was an active member of many senior centers and groups which introduced her to so many wonderful friends. She greatly enjoyed and looked forward to getting together with these ladies and cherished their friendship.

Mary enjoyed spending time with her grandsons. Whether reading books, playing cards, coloring pictures or just spending time in their company, being Grammy to her boys was something she treasured. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her and remembered fondly by anyone who had the pleasure of her company.

Due to Covid, no services will be held.

We would like to offer our heartfelt sympathies to Mary´s family. Mary made significant contributions to our charity work with her sewing. She made many quilts, bibs & burp cloths donated to babies through Birthright. We will miss her company at our gathering.
