Mary Price Obituary

Mary Patricia Price, age 88, of La Porte, Indiana, passed away on February 13, 2023 at Brentwood Home in La Porte, Indiana. Born February 22nd in Baltimore, she was the daughter of George and Edna (Clark) Sims and wife of the late Thomas Price Jr. Mary attended Peabody Institute for Music where she developed her beautiful voice. She was an active member of the Methodist Church in LaPorte where she participated in the Bible Study Program, choir and cooking for various church functions. She sang with and directed the choir at Hopewell Methodist Church in Maryland and also attended the Union Chapel United Methodist Church in Maryland. Mary never had a bad word to say about anyone and always kept a positive attitude. She and her late husband Tom shared over 50 years of marriage. Her faith was extremely important to her, and she did not fear meeting the Lord. Mary was also a great cook. Her family and friends especially enjoyed her famous homemade dinner rolls.

Mary is survived by her; sons, Michael (Annette) Price, and Christopher (Sherry) Price; daughter, Suzanna (Barry) Shortt; grandchildren, Nathaniel, Nicholas (Jessica), Michelle (Bryan), Ian, Dustin, Meghan, Patrick (Molly) and great-grandson, Logan.

In addition to her husband Thomas Price Jr., Mary was preceded in death by her, sister, Sarah Kyle, and brother, William Simms.

Visitation will be held under the caring guidance of the family owned and operated McComas Family Funeral Home, at Union Chapel United Methodist Church, in Joppatowne, MD on Sunday, February 19, 2023 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm. Services will be held immediately following the visitation. Interment will take place in Union Chapel United Methodist Cemetery.
