Matthew Hall Obituary

On October 14, 2025, Matthew Charles Hall passed away after a long and difficult battle with addiction. Though this struggle was a part of his journey, it does not define his life.

Born on January 31, 1981, to Carolyn Powers Hall and the late Garrett W. Hall of Monkton, Maryland, Matt was known for his warmth, charm, and unforgettable sweet smile. He was a proud Eagle Scout and a graduate of Calvert Hall. Matt went on to earn a Bachelor of Science degree in Building Construction from Virginia Tech and worked for many years as a project manager on numerous commercial construction projects in Baltimore and across the country.

Matt is survived by his loving family: his devoted mother, Carolyn Hall; his sisters, Amy Beth Hall and Mary Hall Pardew; and his brother, Andrew David Hall; his brothers-in-law, Edward Hough and Greg Pardew; and his sister-in-law, Laura Renner. Matt adored his nieces and nephews; Alma Pardew; Rory, River, and Violet Hall; and Lucy and Ben Hough.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to the Samaritan Halfway House in Annapolis, a place where Matt found compassion, support, and a deep sense of connection and understanding.
