Cheryl,
I was saddened to hear of your husband's illness and death. I wish I had had a chance to meet Michael; I know I would have liked him. I'm sorry that you didn't have more time with him. I wish I had a better understanding of why these things happen to good people. Call me at 410-470-1207 with your phone number so I can call you for lunch.

I am so sadden to hear of Mike's passing and I want to extend my deepest sympathies to Mike's family. I was a fraternity brother of Mike's and a teammate on Lehigh's football team. We both shared the same injury at about the same time-- a broken left wrist putting us both in casts during the off-season. I am in California now and have not seen Mike since the early '70's, but I will always remember his infectious smile and wonderful personality. God bless Mike and his family.

Mike was one of a kind and one of the most honest and compassionate people I have ever known. I am so very thankful that I not only had the opportunity to get to know him, but to become a part of his family. He will be missed more than words can say.

Mike was truly one of GOD's outstanding people. I have always enjoyed and will miss his charisma and optimistic attitude. He was a wise and kind man. The lessons he taught and the friendship he provided will live with me and my family forever.

Please accept my deepest sympathies and condolences for your loss. I will always remember Mike for the great person that he was...funny, loaded with integrity, personable, humble. I knew Mike through the partnership of our two companies, but his warmth transcended the business nature of our relationship. I will miss him.

I worked in Mike's group in the past. What struck me most about him is no matter how busy he was, he was always smiling, encouraging and had time to spend with you. He was an amazing mix of grace, kindess and leadership. My prayers and thoughts are with you in this difficult time.

My time at WT was short, but any chance that I had to come in contact with Mike Confer was a welcome opportunity. I admired his passion and the effort that he put into his daily life and work. I will always look up to him as a defining role model in my life and his passing is a tragic loss. My condolences to the family and friends he left behind.

It is said that it is hard for those who pass on in life and much harder for those who remain. Mike was more to this world than words can ever be arranged. He always found some good in what ever was wrong. I know that he has found it this time as well. He will be greatly missed as as a leader, coworker, mentor, and dear friend. Rest in peace Mike, and may God be with you. Amen.
