Michael Karp Obituary
For 48 years, Michael served as an Electrical Engineering Manager in the aerospace industry in Baltimore, where he was known not only for his technical brilliance but also for his gift for teaching and mentoring others.
Outside of work, Michael had a lifelong love of motorcycles and classic cars, often spending hours restoring them with skill and patience. A true craftsman at heart, Michael's fascination with watches was deeply personal. His father was a watchmaker in Washington, D.C., and many of Michael's fondest memories came from time spent by his father's side, learning the delicate art of watchmaking.
Michael's heart was as big as his humor. Affectionately known as "G" by his close family and friends, he had a wonderful sense of humor that could light up any room. He loved his pets dearly, especially his late dog, Sachi, who brought him endless happiness. Known for his sweet tooth and even sweeter personality, Michael leaves behind a legacy of laughter, generosity, and genuine kindness.
He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
Michael is survived by his wife, together for 16 years, Sarah Forman- Karp; children, Mandy (Eric) Hermann and Steven Karp.
A memorial service was held on Thursday, November 13, 2025 at 12:00pm, at Goldfinch Funeral Home Chapel.
Goldfinch Funeral Home Conway is in charge of funeral arrangements.
