On August 22, 2016, Michael Ricklen; dear father of Cassandra Nicholson and Sara Alter; loving brother of Neil Ricklen; adored grandfather of Dallas, Austin, and Savannah Nicholson; devoted uncle of Paul Ricklen; beloved son of the late Paul Ricklen and Selma Ricklen Hertzbach. Services at SOL LEVINSON & BROS., INC., 8900 Reisterstown Road, at Mount Wilson Lane on Friday, August 26, at 2 pm. Interment Hebrew Young Mens Cemetery - 5800 Windsor Mill Road. In mourning at 2206 Shefflin Court, Baltimore, MD 21209.

Just found out about Michael's passing and I am still in shock. He was in my top 3 of funniest guys I knew and I still re-run many of our moments together. We starred in the opening scene for the TV show Hootenany (it came to U of MD) because of him and his charming and disarming manner and ability to become everyman's (in this case it was the show's producer)new best friend. I don't know how he always remembered my birthday, but he did, and I knew he would and I always looked forward to hearing from him - on that day and always.
He will be sadly missed!
