Dear Mary & Family..
Even though Nick was not related to any of us we were all brothers in combat when we were all very young men. As the years have gone by and so many have passed away I am grateful to have been fortunate enough to have had contact not only with him but to you over the years at our reunions. I am so proud of Nick and all he has achived and when I complimented him he reply was alway that without Mary I would probally never have been abel to. I will always miss him and hope that you will continue to come to our reunion's.
I know that Nick never forgot the hell we went through during thirteen invasions. This really bonded us as brother that nothing could ever seperate us so my heart goes out to you and all the loved ones he left behind.
Sincerly alway's

Dear Mary and Family,
For Betty and myself and for every one of Nick's USS Caperton shipmate, I wish to extend sympathy and prayers.
It is such a shock to learn of Nick's passing. He was with us at so many reunions and brought a special feeling to everyone of us.
There will not be another like him
and we will all be the poorer because of that.
We can only extend our wishes at this moment of pain and hope that so many wonderful memories will help to continue on without him.
Mary, the crew will continue with reunions and most certainly welcome you to any that you chose to attend.
Most sincerely,
George

Mr. Mangione was truly a very special person and a very special leader. He guided me through my experince at Turf Valley Resort. I will always remember those days running to get his clubs as his car pulled up and always having them right out there promptly. I then remember him coming through the accounting office when I worked there as an AR specialist and making sure his bill was right. Then during my last part of my Turf Valley experince when I was bellman in the hotel I always remember him coming through with a nice smile and a funny wit. He taught me so many valuable guest service and customer service skills that I still use to this day. I work now at Bechtel Corporation in Frederick on the Global Helpdesk and I have gotten many positive customer service feedbacks. Much of the credit goes to Nick Mangione and the entire Mangione family for teaching me the valuable customer service skills at Turf Valley. The interaction I had with the members and guests at Turf Valley has served me well today in my currrent work as I am able to work with all kinds of people. Nick Mangione and the entire Mangione family truly made that very special during my Turf Valley experince. Nick Mangione will truly be missed by many

My deepest sympathy to the family. I recently re-introduced myself to Nick a few weeks ago and met his wife, at Paul Mangione viewing. I am a friend of Mellie Coccia. I met the Mangione family from Turf Valley while dating Fred Grimmel (as you called him Rick). I have remembered your family through the years and remembering Fred. Being a small world, my friend Mellie whom I have know since 1972, I did not even knowing of her connection with the Mangione family. It was not till the passing of Carmella Grimmel that I knew of her being part of your family history. My heart goes out to your family for the loss of your loved one.
Love and Prayers,
