On October 8, 2013, Norman N. Sharpe; cherished husband of Gertrude Sharpe (nee Chaet); beloved father of Dr. Arlene (Dr. Gordon Freeman) Sharpe, Rochelle (Dr. Richard Lewis) Sharpe, Hattie (Dr. Eric) Katkow, Marcia (Craig) Kaspark, and Bruce (Merrie) Edelston; adored brother of the late Merle David Sharpe; loving grandfather of Samuel Freeman, Suzanne Freeman, Sara Lewis, Margo Lewis, Dr. Lawrence (Andrea) Katkow, Sharon (Ilan) Spieler, Rebecca Edelston, and Jenny Edelston; devoted great-grandfather of Emilia Katkow, Lili Katkow, Sivan Spieler, and Tal Spieler.
Funeral services and interment will be held at Columbia Memorial Park - Columbia MD on Friday, October 11, at 1 pm. Please omit flowers. Contributions in his memory may be sent to Jewish Federation of Howard County, 10630 Little Patuxent Parkway, Suite 400, Columbia, MD 21044 or NA'AMAT USA, 505 8th Avenue, Suite 2302, New York, NY 10018. In mourning at 5400 Vantage Point Road (Vantage House), Columbia, MD 21044, with services Saturday and Sunday evenings at 7:30pm.
