Patricia DAVIS Obituary

DAVIS , Patricia A. Patricia Ann Davis , age 68, of Baltimore, MD passed away on May 4, 2013. Born in Chestertown, MD she was the daughter of the late Theresa and Walter Wickes Sr., and sister of the late Walter Wickes Jr. Patricia also known as "Patsy" and "Pat" attended and graduated from Garnett High School (class of 1962) and Morgan State University (class of 1966). After college she had a successful career as a social worker for the Department of Social Services of Maryland. She loved to spend lots of time with her grandson Arecell J. Craig. She attended ALL of Arecell's activities. She was a very proud grandmother and talked about him all the time. She also loved to shop, go to the movies and out to eat with her friends of the "birthday club". Upon retirement, Pat loved to watch her favorite TV show "Days of our Lives", chill out and just do the things she wanted to do! Pat always said "once you retire you never know what day it is!" Always the life of the party, Pat was funny and quick witted. Memories of her antics were fond and will be greatly missed. Family and friends were very important to Pat, so she always kept in touch. She loved them and they loved her too. Toward the end of her life, Pat lived with her daughter, son-n-law and grandson. God gave us that time with her before calling her home. We love her and she will surely be missed by us. Pat is survived by her daughter Rae Davis Craig, son-in-law Arecell W. Craig Jr., grandson Arecell J. Craig, sister-n-law Brenda Wickes, "favorite" aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins, in addition to a host of loving family and friends.
At the request of the deceased, there will be no service.

Pat was my desk mate at the Department of Social Services. She taught me the ropes. Pat was smart honest and witty. One of Pat´s favorite comedians was Steve Martin. After she retired we remained friends and visited each other regularly. My last visit to Pat was tearful for me and my Son. Pat will be missed.
