Paul Moscatt Obituary
On August 28th, 2025, Paul Andros Moscatt's earthly journey ended in Snow Hill, Md., after two and a half years of battling cancer, at the age of 57. He is survived by his spouse of 27 years, Gaetano Lotrecciano, and his immediate family, Paul Moscatt Sr., Carlene Bausch Moscatt, and sister Elena A. Moscatt. He grew up in Charles Village on Abell Avenue, and graduated from The Park School in Baltimore. He was a gifted and talented child, got his first computer at twelve years old and it remained a life-long passion. At seventeen he became an intern in the Biophysics Department at Johns Hopkins during his last semester in high school. Consequently he spent the next four years working there until that department head and staff moved to another university in San Diego, California. He started his own little computer store in Hamden, then moved into a bigger place called "The Little Shop of Hardware" on Keswick Avenue. When he left Baltimore to live in Beltsville, Maryland he worked at Children's National Medical Center. He was an exceptional technician who possessed extraordinary skills in computer science, hardware maintenance, and data retrieval. He had a profound impact on the medical and health sciences as well as astrological and meteorological data management. He was working at Science Systems and Applications Incorporated (SSAI i) in Greenbelt until his illness. He last resided with his husband at their home in Snow Hill. In his later years he built and explored the work of 3D printing, providing many with practical solutions to engineering problems. He was a kind, caring and gentle person , always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need. He is also survived by Aunt Sandra Bausch (Jim deceased), William Bausch (Linda), Bausch and Moscatt cousins, sisters-in-law Silvana Schneider(George) and Elena Ziegler, and many nieces and nephews by marriage.
A Celebration of Life will be held Friday, September 5th 2025 in Snow Hill, Md. at 4pm at Byrd Park, Central Pergola. The Moscatt family will also be holding a Memorial Gathering for Paul in Baltimore in late September.
